    I worked at Pearson Frank full-time (More than a year)


    **Must stress this is based upon the Pearson Frank brand and their employees only - not FRG as a whole**

    - Some amazing people all the way from Trainee to Boardroom level
    - Great working environment
    - Teaches you so many important life skills - hardwork, determination, dealing with highs and lows
    - Have nailed their market making recruitment so much easier!
    - Management are fair and are genuinely good people
    - Senior's are all very helpful and always go the extra mile
    - Lunch Club is one of the best experiences I have ever been part of
    - Incentive trips are great
    - Many people to approach if you're experiencing any issues both work related or outside of work
    - You are given all the tools possible to suceed
    - First Thursday (not quite my thing, but something I have enjoyed when I embraced it a couple of times)
    - They do want you to make money, granted because that will make FRG money but in all fairness you don't get that feeling from the management
    - Worked under 2 SM's, a Manager, a TL or two, a Management Consultant and a number of Senior Con's and genuinely wouldn't have one bad word to say about any of them. Great people who will always be inspirational to me


    - The brand has been diluted which has allowed it to lose some of it's momentum
    - It is hard work and long hours - this doesn't bother me but if there's someone with more restrictions in their personal life then this is the only way you can be successful at first!
    - Sometimes expansion can go a bit too far - this leads to employing people who just aren't cut out - this can upset the apple cart
    - KPI mad! I appreciate it is a phone based role and that is the best way to learn. However, someone can be praised for 4 hours on the phone but not doing any placements (not managing their time efficiently enough!) and yet you can be pulling in business and making money but you don't get praised because you haven't done 2 hours' on the phone speaking to irrelevant candidates or adding pointless information to the system
    - New office is great - but it does lead to a call centre environment
    - Although treat well myself, I have seen some aspects of horrific treatment of some staff
    - If someone leaves because they want to try something else then they are constantly griefed within the office once leaving
    - Company puts on a free bar and you're made to go out and get drunk when you probably would rather not. Then when you do, you get a hard time in the morning for being rough!
    - Don't tell people to worry about themselves then spend hours in a day doing kick offs about phone times, sitting in meetings about other people's deals
    - Celebrating deals is great but there is a certain point in ones career when throwing sponge balls around and blasting rap music gets a little bit tedious

    Advice to Management

    Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed my time at Pearson Frank. It's changed my life and it's given me the platform to hopefully achieve great things. I've never came across a better bunch of people but my one bit of advice....

    Be careful with expanding too much too quickly. Hiring doesn't seem to be as detailed as it once was, this is leading to a diluted atmosphere on the floor as there are bad apples and distractions in the middle of quality sales people. Moreover, Senior Con's and even Con's looking to make Senior are spending too much time acting like a TL that they don't get paid to do. Sometimes less is more!

    Don't take your big billers for granted - they can walk into anywhere else and without these guys PF will crumble

    Other than that, keep doing what you're doing. It will be exciting to see what PF can do moving forward, because there is a genuine scope for massive, massive things.

    Advice to potential employees? Do it. It'll be tough and you have to have thick skin but see this as an OPPORTUNITY. Don't think they owe you anything, because they don't. It's a sales environment and you need results. But if you have the right attitude and you LISTEN to those who know what they're doing then you will go far and they will help you ten fold.

    I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pearson Frank (Barcelona (Spain)) in November 2018.


    I was in touch with the HR recruiter and he explain me the characteristic of the job, what the company was looking for, how to change my CV so they would look at my profile and, important, already told me from the beginning what was the salary. It was very useful.
