Mission: At Propeller Aero, we work everyday to improve how worksites are managed around the world. We close the information gap between a physical worksite and the people who manage it. We believe that everyone should be able to measure and manage their worksite themselves.
Our Propeller Platform makes 3D site surveys easy for everyone to use from their browser, anytime, and the AeroPoints make it accurate. A global leader in cloud visualization and analytics solutions, we give worksites the power to measure and manage themselves.
Every day, thousands of professionals in enterprise, heavy civil, and resources operations worldwide trust Propeller to create, share, and analyze quality data about the sites and assets they manage. We help our customers improve worksite management, efficiency, and collaboration by enabling teams to easily understand how fast they’re working, how much they’ve done, and if they’re on budget and to spec.
Propeller is comprised of tight-knit, decentralized teams working to bring drone technology to some of the world’s biggest companies.
Our people have the freedom to approach, own, and solve problems creatively. We’re 100% about impact, and 0% about ego.
We’re a great place to work and our Culture Amp scores don’t lie. In our most recent survey, 100% of employees said they’d recommend Propeller as a great place to work.
We’re an equal opportunity employer who celebrates diversity. Your gender, age, religion, sex life, or skin color won’t make a difference here. If you’re smart and good at what you do, come as you are.
I have been working at Propeller Aero full-time (More than a year)
Propeller is made up of a some incredibly welcoming and super smart people, who are never hesitant to lend a hand or have a chat. They make you feel like part of the family from day one.
Leave your ego at the door, there's no petty competition here. Everyone is genuinely supportive of each other and you really get a sense that everyone is working towards the same goal.
Fairly loose work structure means a lot of figuring things out as they go. Be prepared for lots of experimenting and changes as the company finds it's legs and figured out the best way to get things done.
Flat hierarchy means you're expected to step up, work independently, and be self-driven. The culture is friendly, but at the end of the day, you have to be driven, passionate, and good at what you do.
Advice to Management
As the company grows and hiring gets more frequent, it's important to maintain the high standard that has allowed Propeller to be where it is today.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Propeller Aero (Sydney) in October 2017.
The interview process started with a screener then multiple rounds of discussions with the founders and team members. The interviews questions covered past experience and relevance to the role, potential for the role, personal and company goals.
