There's plenty of interesting projects and technical challenges to work on. Generally employees are pretty engaged in the work, and management listens to concerns.

No major cons at the moment.

  1. Geospatial Specialist Interview

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at Propeller Aero (Philippines) in Jul 2021

Their interview process has 4 stages. You have to pass each in chronological order. The 1st stage is the overview of the skills and experiences of the interviewee. It is essentially based on the resume. The 2nd stage is the technical exam. The exam does not have clear instructions, so the interviewee will just have to figure out how to answer it best. The 3rd stage is the technical interview. The tech interview essentially tests how the interviewee can communicate technical terminologies and methods in a concise manner. The 4th stage is the behavioral interview.

Their overall interview process was a waste of time because they are asking for very specific skill requirements and yet they did not include that in the candidate hiring page. To be specific, you need to be familiar with Agisoft Metashape and they did not include that in the requirements. So the candidate will proceed with the technical exam not knowing about the particular software. Moreover, they are requiring very demanding skills from the candidate and yet they can't improve on their unclear instructions.

Furthermore, they are hiring tech positions such as the geospatial specialist position in southeast asian countries so they can get candidates with a lower salary offer. This position is basically "customer support/service" and if you are looking into progressing with your geospatial career, then this position is not sufficient for that goal.

One of the sample customer service related questions is how can you help a client who gets an error message when they open the file you sent them.
