    I worked at ScrollMotion part-time (More than a year)


    Great startup. Very creative, fun and collaborative environment. Great co-workers. There was and still is a great sense of camaraderie in the office. Awesome software platform that will eventually dominate the enterprise mobile app market. High class services team that creates great apps for big name clients. These clients are dying to have enterprise mobile apps in their workspace and our platform enables them to make their own apps. Company also made some really good hires which is building the company up. Scrollmotion was truly a special place and I was glad to be a part of it.


    Company went through some managerial and structural changes which caused high turnover and hurt stability and morale. It was very sad to see great colleagues either get laid off or leave for other supposedly "better" opportunities. The company didn't have a lot of formal processes in place and also didn't have enough resources to do the job effectively at times.

    Advice to Management

    Management saw and recognized the problems that affected the company and addressed those problems in a candid and transparent way. Keep up with it and continue to make it a better place to work.

    Initial behavioral phone interview with someone from HR and then an in-person technical interview. The technical interviewer had a narrow scope in terms of the skills he was looking for-- mostly networking and linux questions were asked. The primary purpose of the interview seemed to be criticism of my experience, although I'm not sure why, since I truthfully represented myself in person and on paper. After my poor experience in their office, I chose not to move forward with the process. It turned out to be a great decision as I was hired by another company that appreciated my current skill set and has invested in developing me further.
