I have been working at Toyota North America full-time (More than 5 years)
Toyota offers their employees competitive salaries, a great benefits package, and tons of onsite amenities meant to encourage a healthy work/life balance, fitness, etc. Most importantly, when they say that respect for people is a core pillar of the Toyota Way, they mean that. I've been with this company my whole career (started as an intern and was hired on full time almost 5 years ago), and have no plans to leave any time soon. I'd recommend Toyota to any family member or friend.
As with any large corporation, decision making can be a process at times, with many layers of approvals needed.
Advice to Management
Continue supporting your team members and give them the autonomy to make decisions and learn.
We believe that mobility goes well beyond cars. With our eyes to the future, we're setting our sights on an even greater mission of mobility for all. ‘Start Your Impossible’ is our call to action to make that vision a reality and inspire people to push onward―past their finish line, past their impossible. Because when we're free to move, anything is possible. Join our talent network to stay in the know about opportunities at Toyota: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQJv6

We’re welcoming 2019 by looking back at some of our favorite memories from 2018: Akio visiting Plano, TX for his global address, Starting our Impossible as a sponsor of the Olympic and Paralympic games, making strides in the mobility space with new tech like e-Palette, Hui, and TRI Platform 3.0, new product releases, and the countless hours team members spent building the future of mobility and giving back to the community. We've had an amazing year filled with continuous improvement (kaizen), collaboration, and kindness. To our team members across North America: thanks for filling our year with purpose, growth, and fun! Here’s to making 2019 even better. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ3lE
