Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at ANZ Bank full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
Staff are passionate about what they do
Cons
Bad behaviours are not managed, bullying is not called out and decisively dealt with, people who bring in the $$$ can get away with anything and actually get promoted despite bad behaviour, senior management have a culture of ignoring or not wanting feedback that doesn't align with their views.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at ANZ Bank full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
1. Relatively generous perks and benefits, e.g. discounted housing loan etc. 2. Embracing flexible work lifestyle, e.g. work from home, part time etc. 3. Relatively big and diverse organisation which value meritocracy
Cons
1. The bank is getting more and more onerous in approving corporate lending, setting itself up for a potential demise in the future 2. The bank is somehow pivoting itself away from lucrative market such as Asia 3. Somehow the current leadership is not or even less well equipped in formulating the right customer strategy, often flip-flopping or moving back and forth in deciding the right clients to bank

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at ANZ Bank full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Good benefits, well paid and office was in a good location. Good management training program
Cons
The predominant requirement for promotion and acceleration through the ranks was politicking and trying to ingratiate yourself to superiors. A good degree or arrogance from senior folks who really, have no reason to be arrogant about anything. Intellectually un-stimulating

I have been working at ANZ Bank part-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Banking pays well vs other industries, once you're in generally good opportunity to work flex and transition into other roles. Work life balance can be good but generally a lot of input/output expected
Cons
Banking generally going through a tough time, lots of restructures, management changes, vibe a bit low

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at ANZ Bank full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
Big and potential to move around (albeit it limited). Many careers in one organization Brand value means you see plenty of deal flow without trying Good employment policies (although standard for a large organization)
Cons
Very political. Particular areas worst than others. Be careful. Many get to senior positions based on length of service making progression hard. Talent are often seen as a threat. Flexibility policies are not supported in particular 'old school' divisions. Career limiting if you use them. A lot of nepotism still exists. As does reverse sexism in some areas. Internal movements seldom accompany a pay review which is disappointing given like-for-like external hires command market salaries often 125-150% above internal. Hence, ANZ prefer internal hires.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at ANZ Bank full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
- Some very bright and nice people to learn from and have as mentors - Strong position within the corporate and institutional space - Opportunities in Asia
Cons
- Very political (even compared to other banks or IBs) - Technology is appalling which can effect everyday tasks - "It's not what you know, it's who you know" that will get you your promotion or deserved payrise
