    I have been working at ANZ Bank part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    everyone clocks out right on the dot and no one wants to stay back including managers. Reasonable pay in comparison to other industries. Good work life balance if you are assertive and know how to say no.

    Cons

    Everyone only looks out for themselves. It is like walking into a pit of snakes. People talk and you cannot trust anyone in this company because what they say to your face is different to what they say to other colleagues and management. Very little opportunity for growth within the company unless you have the ability to suck up to your manager on a daily basis or are a jock and can join the boys club. If they offer you extra work with an assurance of over time on saturdays do not take it as they only pay 1.25 instead of 1.5 like other workplaces.

    Pros

    Working at ANZ i was able to gain so much experience in banking skills and help build my customer service skills.

    Cons

    ANZ is currently the only bank in American Samoa, so everyday was a busy and hectic day and we could not take our lunch because we were always short staff.
