Pros

All pros left once Follett sold the company sold to Mirada Capital Group. Before, there was lots of flexibility with schedule.

Cons

This will probably read like just another disgruntled employee, and you're right. I'm disgruntled, and I know they'll easily figure out who this is. I worked there for over 7 years before I was abruptly laid off while the entire company was at a meeting. It was a shady way to do it. I never even got to say goodbye to the work friendships I built there. My supervisors knew the entire week and lied to all of us saying that everything was fine. Sales were down, which is common at that time of year, but they were still hiring a sales executive, plant controller, and a social media marketer. My theory, is that they wanted my salary to pay for one of those which granted was only 50k. They severely underpay there, but expect you to go above and beyond. There's zero room for growth. The only growth opportunity I had came after 6.5 years when my manager left, but the job was given to someone that was 4 years my work junior and did not have the experience or relationships with coworkers like I had. I had been there longer that 90% of the employees including all but one person in upper management. They gave me a bogus promotion and then didn't allow me to be in charge of the areas I was promised. I knew after a month it was a pacifier to keep me from quitting since I was their best artist. As far as the rest of the company goes, management either doesn't care or is blasé about those under them. Majority of the employees are jaded because of continued unfulfilled promises, low pay, and lack of opportunity. HR really doesn't care but will pretend to your face that they doe. I even know of an incident where HR told two female coworkers after they complained about being bullied that "that's just what it's like working with women sometimes." I even had to contact him 5 calendar days after I was laid off for any information on pay, etc. Lastly, there's nothing advanced in Advanced-Online. They ran off the two guys who were trying to help make it better, but they kept hitting walls with the outdated systems and machines. Note that Mike Standish has not been the CEO since 2015.

Pros

Clients and customers are fine

Cons

Management has favorites, hard to trust. Intimidation from HR is normal - walking on eggshells 90% of the time.
