I have been working at AeroCare part-time

    Pros

Good initial training, good recruitment process, great co-workers Pay is ok and professional standards as expected in an airline business

    Cons

Shift work early morning hours combined with afternoon hours, leaving a large gap in between. Ok if you live close by to the airport, If not you need to calculate the impact of your travel costs to and from work twice a day on your take home pay. No feedback from management on how you are performing, cold dismissive, non caring attitude to staff leading to high turnover, a revolving door.

I worked at AeroCare part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Physical activity and working out in the open. Some good co-workers

    Cons

    1. Up front costs expected to be met by by the employee prior to the commencement of employment which the company does not compensate the employee for, total costs $500.00 AUD - Pre emploment medical, Dangerous goods certification, safety footwear, Airport Security check and access pass. 2. Ground equipment is poorly maintained and only repaired on failure or when unit becomes defective - reactive maintenance 3. All shifts are staffed to a percieved minimum by comparassion to the other companies onsite performing the same function. 4. Does not pay proper shift penalties or weekend rates by comparision to other industries 5. Manager and Supervisors have no formal frontline management training. 6. Roster is structured to dis-advantage the worker finicially; e.g Sunday Shift 10:30 pm - 01:35 am entire shift is paid at the Monday day rate 7. Unproductive co-workers leaving others to carry the load

I worked at AeroCare full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You got paid each fortnight, met some great people.

    Cons

Rubbish rostering, understaffed, can work 6-8hrs without a break in the hot sun in summer, outdated unsafe equipment, managers cannot put a proper sentence together, do not care about health and safety, too many injuries, you’ll be discarded like a piece of dirt if you speak up.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at AeroCare part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good pay, keeps you fit, gain some aircraft knowledge

    Cons

You will be expected to clean entire aircraft cabins at the end of the night and nowhere is is this mentioned in the recruitment process. While hearing protection is provided, breathing protection is not and you'll suck in a ton of oil and fuel vapour from the cooling jet engines. The "items over 20kg will be team-lifted" rule is not true, you will either dramatically strengthen or injure your back in the first few weeks.

I have been working at AeroCare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are no PROS for this company.

    Cons

This company only worry's about themselves and not there employees. They only give advancement to people to kiss they behind. No communication what so ever. The regional manager and location manager do not know how to do basic CSR jobs or can even assist with there employees needs. Employees do not get the training needed to do there jobs effectively and need to depend on each other to get the job done right. Employees are treated like prisoners.
