I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

    Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.

I worked at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-The biggest pro by far is the culture piece. You will work with some great people (for the most part) and make lifelong friends. You'll also partake in fun events for top performers, family picnics, boat cruises, camping trips, happy hours, Christmas parties, etc. -You will learn the business. I've learned so much about staffing, sales, recruiting, communication, and about the business world in general than I had imagined. Great experience, especially if you're straight out of school. Many companies love to see Aerotek on a resume, so you'll have options when you're ready to move on. -Some people make a lot of money here and get to go on annual trips to Mexico. -If the company actually operated by the values it states, it would be a 5 star place to work. I would still be there, if that was the case.

    Cons

-They say you can make as much money as you want, and to a point that's true, but really it all hinges on what team you're placed on and who your manager is. Some of the worst recruiters and salespeople are making the most money simply because they got lucky. -This company is a "my way or the highway" type of place. If you don't fit in your role the way they want you to, you're out. They don't try to place you where your strengths lie or do any kind of troubleshooting - they just think you can't handle it so you're not fit for the job. -Old school. This company has an old school mentality of how things should work and they're not exactly open to feedback when it comes to change. -No diversity. A lot of offices are still a good old boy's club and just continue to promote the same person over and over. Even if they do hire women or minorities...they don't stick around. Why is that? -Inexperienced management. This company has grown quickly over the past few years and as a result, since they only promote from within, have put people into leadership positions that they have no business being in. And then new recruiters come in and that immature promotion is their manager....so naturally, they fail because the manager has no idea what they're doing and probably didn't get any training when they were promoted to be honest. But then it's still considered the recruiter's fault because it's a performance-based job. I truly believe if you look at the extremely high turnover rates more closely, you will see that many of these employees just weren't getting what they needed to succeed. No one will do that though, because once you leave the management team will list 100 reasons why you couldn't hack it. -Favoritism. It's a real issue here. We aren't getting the most qualified candidates to work because managers are either taking care of their own recruiters or won't give you the time of day.

I worked at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training, great people, fun/competitive environment, exposure to multiple industries and great ATS tools. If you are a recent grad and want to experience a company culture and learn how to be professional over phone and email then this is the best place to start. great for 6 months to 18 months.

    Cons

Same issues as all other staffing agencies "uncapped commission" always means your KPIs will never be "good enough". in other words: Carrot and stick mentality, just when you reach new heights, the stick gets longer and the carrot doesn't get much bigger. Management tries to create a good culture of support and competition, but that requires good people to stay, feed into this good culture, and challenge each other, this takes high levels of trust and is a lot of work. This is risky, as the best people carry the weight of both their own high performance and the high emotional labor of pushing others to get to the same level. Its a domino affect once those best people leave.

    Pros

Great Pay Great People World-Class Sales Training and Resources

    Cons

Work/Life Harmony is difficult to accomplish. The flexibility is there if you need it, but if you take off, your business will definitely suffer.
