I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

    Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.

I worked at Aerotek full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great training, decent starting salary based on where you live.

    Cons

Company culture is toxic, "Us vs Them" mentality, Horrible commission opportunity, Frat drinking and drug culture, passive-aggressiveness, all about who you know.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training for someone entering new into staffing. You’re held to track metrics such as 60-80 calls per week, 10 interviews, 10 candidate submittals while maintaining at least $6k-8k in what they call spread which is calculated by how many employees you have on a job. There are a lot of people in the company who have been here for many years so it works for many people.

    Cons

For someone who’s been in staffing for I would not recommend. Extended promotional timelines and limited promotional opportunities. If you don’t like or don’t want to work in a call center Then this isn’t for you. If you don’t want to track every email, phone call, attempted phone, conversation, etc into a system where anyone in the company can see your logs and metrics then this isn’t for you.

I worked at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training, great people, fun/competitive environment, exposure to multiple industries and great ATS tools. If you are a recent grad and want to experience a company culture and learn how to be professional over phone and email then this is the best place to start. great for 6 months to 18 months.

    Cons

Same issues as all other staffing agencies "uncapped commission" always means your KPIs will never be "good enough". in other words: Carrot and stick mentality, just when you reach new heights, the stick gets longer and the carrot doesn't get much bigger. Management tries to create a good culture of support and competition, but that requires good people to stay, feed into this good culture, and challenge each other, this takes high levels of trust and is a lot of work. This is risky, as the best people carry the weight of both their own high performance and the high emotional labor of pushing others to get to the same level. Its a domino affect once those best people leave.

I worked at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training & development. There are honest hard working people there that actually want to see you succeed (if you're lucky to align yourself with them- you should) Happy hours if you're into that kind of thing-gets old after a while, but different people are driven by different things. Can work out of different offices if you're traveling.

    Cons

-Work/life balance is hard. You definitely need to put in the work and not take your foot off the gas at all during the week to actually hit your numbers and metrics. -Clicky-but what company isn't?

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great training, good commission if you get in with the right manager, high energy work environment, free food, a lot of PTO if you are able to use it.

    Cons

Long hours. 7:30am-6pm/6:30pm most days. "Encouraged" to work weekends as well. High employee turnover rate. Company only cares about making money, not about it's employees. They promote those that don't seem to be good at recruiting to Manager roles. A lot of changes in the past year including reduction in base pay, moving divisions around, and asking for more hours from it's employees. No one seems to understand where the company is going.
