I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

    Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

People and the culture are no doubt the foundation of this company. They teach you a good set of core values from the start. If you are vested they do vest in you and develop you. Lots of resources at your fingertips to learn and grow. Leadership at the local director level is top notch. Great structure. Newly developed business units that open up a lot more career paths than previously. Only promote from within which is great. Ability to make a lot of money. Also a ton of PTO which I usually don’t know how it accumulates that fast.

    Cons

Work/life balance can be a bit off at times. May have days coming in at 7 leaving at 7 or later. Other days may come in at 7:45 and leave at 5. Just depends on where you are at with commitments to clients. Mid level management can be hit or miss sometimes. Depends on who’s team you happen to be on. Some are a lot better than others. Recruiting can be a bit cut throat when running into candidates that cross over into other territories. Disparity between teams as some have more structure than others. Depends on which team you happen to land on when you start. Getting your numbers up as a recruiter really depends on how much business your account manager is bringing in. Also can be very up or down depending on market. Account manager role is nice because you have the autonomy to work with whatever company you want with the overhead being covered by Aerotek. Essentially able to run your own business with a large financial backing. Health insurance is not good. High deductible plan.

    Pros

Its a good first job, that pushes you to grow, learn and work hard. Fun culture, good mentoring.

    Cons

Work life balance. Will have to work long hours, sometimes for a couple weeks. Some times its a standard 7:30-5:30, which would likely be a shorter day for you.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good place to start your career, definitely not long term.

    Cons

Management is terrible, it’s a “climb the ladder” company, but they make it nearly impossible. The worker bees keep working and the rich keep getting richer. No work life balance. You’re expected to keep up with it even when you’re off.
