I have been working at Airbus full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People and culture are fantastic, good commitment to training for junior engineers, tap into the broader Airbus resource networks, opportunities to work in Europe if that's your thing, generally accommodating of flexible work arrangements, not too much overtime.

    Cons

Limited scope of engineering work - all the really good stuff for mechanical engineers is done in Europe. Doesn't mean you can't learn, but there are limits to what we are allowed to do. Pay is not really competitive with Boeing and the like but you won't starve.

I have been working at Airbus full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The pay is on par with what the industry is paying. I didn't have to work overtime alot.

    Cons

High rate of turn over, and I wondered why when I started that most of the IT department was missing. They had their reasons. Here's why I didn't stay. There is a toxic culture of workplace bullying which HR are aware of. E.g. My manager comments about how he doesn't like religious people, particularly Baptists. Never met a single person there that genuinely liked their job in IT. You're treated like a resource, not a human, and are hassled when off sick.

    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at Airbus full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Security, training, profit share, flexible working

    Cons

No real career opportunities, hard to move out of position upwards, poor salary increase between grades. They prefer to employee outside departments with no knowledge, rather than promote someone with years of experience.
