    Pros

above market package reasonable annual and maternity leave.

    Cons

very racist against asians. if you are not white then no career development for you. all senior management team hire based on their connections. if you know one of the directors you can get the job regardless if you have the experience. no clear understanding of what is it like to take the largest rpo account in asia but insisted on aligning the structure with uk.

    APAC Head of HR

Having read your comments we are concerned about your experience working with the AMS team. We are immensely proud of our people and believe that the combined 74 years of banking experience held by the direct account leadership in Hong Kong provides a strong foundation for the success we share with our HK banking clients. Our local representation remains between 71% and 90% for regional accounts in APAC, our clients tell us the blend of our regional and global teams continue to be the key to our success. I would invite you to make direct contact with me regarding your concerns and observations and I can be reached on Rebecca.dakin@alexmann.com

I have been working at Alexander Mann Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Holidays, benefits, location, some good colleagues to work with.

    Cons

Senior management, not caring about their staff, poor progression, poor communication, terrible IT issues, laptops break constantly, spending at least one day a week trying to fix our own laptop issues as IT are too busy. Made a lot of people in Belfast redundant as they didn't want to pay their staff. Hopefully people will remember this when work picks up and don't go back in the future.

I worked at Alexander Mann Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - A good portfolio of blue-chip clients. - Opportunities to move around the company if you know how to navigate internal mobility and are proactive in seeking those options out. - A good option to exit an agency environment if you're looking to step into a different type of recruiting career. - Has some fantastic people managers.

    Cons

    - Recent private equity sale has put an enormous amount of pressure on staff to operate way over capacity for extended periods of time. Any value placed on "work life balance" has been totally and utterly diminished. Some London accounts are operating at massively high volumes and are crushingly understaffed with no end in sight. - Senior Management team is relatively aloof and disconnected from what is happening on the ground. - AMS struggle to push back to clients; many accounts show rapidly increased SLA targets, some of which are completely unrealistic and unachievable. - Working over capacity (and delivering on it) is not proportionally rewarded; decent pay rises are given to those who "work" the system and shout the loudest. - Some promotions are questionable and it is not obvious or logical in why or how they have been attained.

I have been working at Alexander Mann Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, good flexible working programme. Inspiring Leadership Team.

    Cons

Poor communication from Senior Management (referring to the layer below the Leadership team). Statesman like ran department; self promotion, self gain and as a consequence any development is limited as your wings are firmly clipped. Work life balance poor, you’ll be worked like a dog for very little reward which then becomes expected as ‘the norm’.

    Pros

Great work life balance, flex working hours.

    Cons

Advice to prospective employees: Talk is golden in AMS, delivery is secondary. Focus your efforts on getting into the good books of senior management and finding excuses to blame (the client or others) when things are not going well. This is what gets you a "well deserved" promotion.

I worked at Alexander Mann Solutions for less than a year

    Pros

    - The company has an amazing CEO and the core senior management team around her is great but unfortunately that brilliance and dedication does not trickle down to the rest of the management in the GCSCs. - There are a lot of hard working sourcers and recruiters in this company trying to make a living.

    Cons

    - As a contractor, i had the impression that the company does not treat its own internal candidates fairly. Especially if you are from the Eastern Europe and trying to move to the US, most probably you will be treated like a second-class employee.
