I have been working at American Express full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Big on personal development and "growth mindset". Everyone is friendly. Strong brand identity. Global outlook and the opportunity to interact with colleagues from US, UK, India, Japan, Singapore & more. Work-life balance is excellent and working arrangements highly flexible.

    Cons

Opportunity to progress to a more senior role is limited outside the US due to cuts in non-US positions. My experience of moving internally did not come with a salary review (due to internal rules- no more than 10% rise), meaning I was underpaid.
