I have been working at Appen part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    You can work from home

    Cons

Project I have worked on (Bane) is a shambles. Guidelines keep changing and you have to read up on the new ones each time (unpaid.) Numerous issues with invoices, elements of the project not working properly etc. Seems like somebody on an apprenticeship is running the project

I have been working at Appen for less than a year

    Pros

Seemingly helpful support staff but very little of the help they offered was ever implemented

    Cons

Constant stream of system errors which resulted in missing hours of work, to none of my work being recorded by the system. This meant I did not get paid for the hours I worked and was taken off the project. I disputed this and was informed the decision was final - with no explanation. Essentially I have worked for free and throughout the months of continuous errors which I reported several times a week I have gained nothing.

I have been working at Appen for more than 5 years

    Pros

Remote, flexible and seemed like a great place at first

    Cons

Bare minimum pay, never paid for any training or qualification study time or testing. I was paid much more $4/hr more, before they bought Leapforce and cut our wages. I've worked here for over 5 years now and I cannot believe I'm still checking AppenConnect for work! It's not worth it.
