I have been working at Appen part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility to decide when and where you work, work from home, easy work once you learn the guidelines. They are working out the kinks involved in working with crowdsourced employees, but they really listen and adjust based on employee feedback. Good pay for an entry-level work from home job.

    Cons

Slow response time from managers. Work is not consistent. You won't support a family with this income, but it will help, and it's one of the better-paying crowdsourced positions available.

I have been working at Appen full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You work from home, you can schedule your work hours and that defines your salary, you learn new skills and you get to work in cool projects.

    Cons

The payment could be better, it gets repetitive and some months you can only work for 20-30 hours.

I worked at Appen part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pays on time every Month, which is rare for this type of work! I would recommend to a friend if they had nothing to do and don't mind climbing though hoops to get an actual start.

    Cons

Complicated Platform, many different registrations involved, lack of support, total lack of organization. I lost count of how many times my work was deemed incorrect with corrections from too many auditors ( all contradicting each other ). One day I would be corrected to an error, then the very next day would have exactly the same search query. I would respond as per the correction only to be told that I had made an error and that my original response from the day before was correct ( sometimes it was even by the same Auditor ). The guide lines were so often shifted, it seems that the Auditors just needed to query a certain amount of everyones work to justify their employment.
