Exposure to various projects, every project is different hence every solution is different. No copy and paste. If it is the same, you look at how it can be improved and be better than the previous.

      Great Work Environment & Culture

      Pros

Takes care of it’s people, people are really nice and friendly. The culture of the organisation is around team work and collaboration rather than competition. Open to new ideas & innovation. Flexible work environment. Multi cultural.

      Cons

Can have very loose structures and processes, and not hierarchical . Sometimes feels like not much of direction or people doing things the way they like. Most of senior managers (in Australia) are Anglosphere, in the older age range, and men and a lot of the times lacking technical knowledge as the company has a lot of focus on salesmanship. Politics can play a major role in promotions and salary rises. Too much emphasize on utilisation rather than output.

      Pros

Emerging professionals have a lot of opportunities to be at the forefront of team leadership, offering excellent development and fast-track style careers Fun work environment, energetic teams and opportunities to travel both interstate and overseas on secondment. Pay is pretty decent, however took a significant amount of time to move from casual employment as a contractor to being a recognised, salary package employee. Great place to start your career and has a lot of incentive to stay. Capitalise on the opportunities and it will take you far.

      Cons

Very much an engineers club, working out business politics takes a little while to get used to and there's lacking involvement from senior leadership when problems arise. Often expectations are to "live the job", limited understanding that many employees work to live as opposed to living to work. High expectations on performance and crushing reviews when these expectations aren't met. A lot of times, opportunities will be offered to high achieving professionals in the first instance, takes a lot of courage to offer expertise when you're overlooked constantly in favour of the big-business ball busters.

      Cons

There is no parking near the office and no offer of a parking space and not as much access to a company car as my previous employers
