I worked at Australia Post full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Strong culture of camaraderie, Get it done attitude to business problems, foundations of a successful business (despite high revenue and low profit margin due to USOs).... Reasonable middle of the road remuneration in Sales environment.

    Cons

Disconnect between Senior Exec and middle management. Putting the wrong type of leaders in critical sales leadership roles disenfranchising the Sales workforce. Recently have heard the word "toxic" used by those in the environment (obviously an opinion). Like all Sales environments, the sales incentive scheme could be improved. At EFOY Senior Management decided to cap an uncapped scheme that cost high performers dearly.......

I worked at Australia Post full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Easy work for good pay. The union is active to ensure that the employee's interested is always accounted for. Reputable name - great to work for.

    Cons

Great pay for lower levels not so great for middle management. Nepotism is present even in such stringent selection process.

    Pros

Some great talented developers and Senior Execs truly interested in making a difference

    Cons

Most of them have now left so its a lot of devs who don't really care, and middle management who don't understand contemporary development

I have been working at Australia Post

    Pros

The entitlements such as Rec. leave. and sick leave, maturity and paternity entitlements. If not corrupted the opportunity to work almost anywhere in Australia, in a whole wide range of career paths.

    Cons

Corrupt Middle Management which manipulate the structure of rules and regulations for their own needs causing a third world working environment to say the least.

I have been working at Australia Post for more than 10 years

    Pros

The entitlements and security are great and the opportunities are abundant, if it wasn't manipulated by the corrupted middle management and sections of the senior management.

    Cons

Ill mannered work colleagues and a culture tired up with the red tape protecting those who wish to manipulate employees for promises of promotion or other benefits that we are entitled to in the first place. A work culture where middle management use employees to benefit themselves, by means of a corrupt nature.

I have been working at Australia Post

    Pros

The hours work well for me. The people I work with make the days worthwhile. That's all I could come up with on the positive side.

    Cons

Management more concerned for their own well being. They also play favourites when it comes to promotions and extra work. The lack of communication from middle management is worrying and makes my job so much harder.

I worked at Australia Post full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Best reasons to work here...you get a staff discount at postal shops !!!

    Cons

Performance appraisal systems is unethical. It has nothing to do with your meeting of objectives. Its all about who you know.Retrenchment lacked integrity. No attempt to re-deploy middle management. No loyalty. People with 30 years experience walked out the door on the same day.Internal jobs given to ex NAB colleagues. Many are not advertised internally. Continual re-structuring, no investment in training, no career opportunities. Salaries not competitive. Highly political. No room for people who give honest opinions for the benefit of the company. If you are not a "yes-man", you will be exited. Constructive dismissal is the term used
