On first few months you'll feel very overwhelmed by the technical retooling and size of the sysyem to learn; System is also not easy but is worth learning as it is very well designed

Pros
The culture is very relaxed - there is a hierarchy, but in practice its quite flat - managers are accessible and good ideas are valued no matter where they come from. Super casual dress code - e.g. during the summer heat wave, shorts at the office are/were common. Flex-time approach to working hours. Its clear the culture has been driven by developers, making it far more innovative than one would think for a core banking software provider.
Cons
Some people will say that Avaloq is too chaotic, but for me it is the perfect balance between having just enough bureaucracy to provide support and structure while leaving plenty of room for choice and innovation. I.e. they offer top down help without imposing any one-size-fits-all policies.
The critics from insideparadeplatz are simply wrong...its a great company with a bright future.Advice to Management
Please don't go the way of FIS!
