I have been working at Avaya full-time

    Pros

Technically knowledgeable and competent management (you'd be surprised how rare this can be in tech companies), great work-from-home/remote working opportunities, great opportunities for personal development and growth, excellent work environment, busy place, free gym on site, good restaurant with staff discount, free parking, generally good atmosphere

    Cons

Building is getting a bit dated, but they try to keep it up to spec as best they can. Can be a challenge trying to keep up with ever changing technologies

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Avaya full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Work from home, cell phone,

    Cons

Honestly, I can’t wait until after the pandemic to leave. This company’s management is equivalent to a grade 12 thesis project. Every leader at Avaya should be looked into and their Amex should be audited, starting from the top. No one knows about Avaya, the company has no marketing no brand awareness, partners hate us. No one enjoys working here and everyone here is here because they’re waiting to retire and can’t leave because of pension. It is the most toxic environment I’ve ever been in. Avaya is not a leader in telephone and management has no idea what they’re doing.

I worked at Avaya full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Fellow employees were awesome to work with. Enjoyed the technology. Was able to work from home.

    Cons

Immediate management was out-of-touch with their team. Seemed to just go through the motions; follow metrics without taking time to engage in details. When it came time for a head-count layoff, I was simply read to from a pre-written email. No empathy. No connection.
