I have been working at BASF full-time

    Pros

Great people - every manager I've had there was great. They care about your development and will help you reach your career goals, with things such as mentoring, development plans, networking opportunities, and ability to take on positions outside your core experience

    Cons

Other benefits (tuition-reimbursement) have gotten less competitive over the years.

I have been working at BASF full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere, great opportunities for advancement with the right skill set, excellent work-life balance if you are not a technician

    Cons

BASF does not work well with supporting couples who both work for BASF because business groups within BASF work in silos. Working in different business groups as a couple can eventually result in one spouse being forced out of BASF or employment when the other spouse is required to transfer with BASF (either voluntarily or due job elimination). BASF is also heavily burdened by its numerous policies and procedures that add unnecessary cost while increasing transaction time. Male managers need more training on unconscious bias (example: men praised for their directness while women criticized for their directness).

    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at BASF full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good employees to work with Pay is ok

    Cons

Strategy changes ever year, so don't know where the boat is sailing Ideas from other company's are not welcome, its 1960's manufacturing PhD's are not held accountable and promoted with no experience. Very arrogant company A lot of support groups are really not support groups. They have no experience in manufacturing products. Just sit in office piling more work on you. Company has minimal project management experience. Survey on being great for veterans I do not believe, as a veteran I can tell you they don't care for you. Only one mention on company website for military appreciation month. Sites are dirty and run down. Culture and values are just pieces of paper on the wall
