I worked at BT Financial Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

BT has always had a real international feel to it. This has given employees at BT great international working opportunities. They also have a good local culture

    Cons

Given it’s an international company the working hours can really stretch your work life balance. If you don’t have ambitions to move internationally career moves can be limited

    Advice to Management

Keep workload and work life balance in mind to keep people engaged

I worked at BT Financial Group full-time

    Pros

Great people in the marketing analytics area, supportive management, diversity of work

    Cons

Stakeholders struggle to know what they want Corporate standard tools are a bit limited, but can add some of you own from online free sources

    Advice to Management

Go to bat for the analytical teams to ensure that their work is what is required rather than have to re-do work when stakeholder decides they want something else

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at BT Financial Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Benefits - annual share plan, maternity leave

    Cons

Minimal career development and progression. Role responsibilities do not match salary (significantly lower). Bonuses are at management discretion. Extremely slow systems and processes, do not invest in bettering these and do not have a change mentality.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at BT Financial Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible working conditions, have met some lovely people, some perks are good.

    Cons

Culture is the worst I’ve ever experienced - so toxic. Senior leadership likes to manage rather than lead and those that get on the good side despite the skills they lack seem to be promoted. Only looking at quick bandaid fixes vs long term solutions. Must be a yes person and not voice your concerns to fit in and be liked. Miles behind the game in providing technology access and system set up when transferring... internally - 4 weeks to be able to finally log in to do my job. Very high turnover and many unhappy employees, lots that openly talk about how much anxiety they have coming into work everyday.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on your KPI’s and start focusing on your people. They are miserable. Happy, satisfied employees = more productivity and profit.
