I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company is like a giant family. Everybody looks out for each other, and does their best to help when they see someone struggling. In the event you do have trouble in the position, the managers take the time to work with you, and if necessary transition you into a different, more suitable role before considering termination. They do everything they can to keep their people and use their strengths to the company's advantage. Benefits are great, lots of opportunity to be part of the community and local events (i.e. NASCAR, NBA games, NFL games - depending on location)

    Cons

It is hard to get in from the outside. Positions that are posted first thing in the morning, usually have dozens of candidates within the hour. If you don't get your application in almost immediately after the position is posted, you may not even get looked it. And prior to getting an interview, there are personality tests you are required to take, and they will base even contacting you on the results of that test - without even meeting you first. There is a lot of movement as well, so don't necessarily expect that the job you were hired to do will be the same in a year or two.

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

originally it was employee and client focused. It was a great place to work. Competitive pricing and international and technologically advanced online transactions.

    Cons

Became increasingly profit focused at the detriment of employees. Too many turnovers, increasing sales pressure, and corrupt misogynistic, racist managers.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great training. We were required to complete it immediately. Challenge is management did not always provide adequate time to complete it.

    Cons

Upper level management says that they are concerned about your development and are interested in your feedback. However that is just a façade. And the main challenge is that you have supervisors upper level management who themselves do not know what they are doing. They rely on others who have been in the job that have more experience to show them what needs to be done. If I was you I would not even apply. Don't waste your time going there where in the end you will be stress every single day and the support is not there for you. Career opportunities are available however make sure that you know how to brown nose and you know how to work the system in order to move up the ladder hard work is not necessarily the Avenue or the path for success.

I worked at Bank of America for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits, competitive pay, learning position, great coworkers, room for advancement, huge global company, great hours. Really a great environment. Local management was very engaged.

    Cons

Fairly high pressure environment. There is a lack of focus on serving the customer, and a heavy focus on gaining the customer's full portfolio. Which is fine, but there is definitely a distaste built in to the job for good old help and customer service.
