    Pros

I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

    - Competitive remuneration package
    - exposure to international network

    Cons

    - infrastructures are still not integrated with Merrill Lynch
    - internal procedures are unclear to everybody
    - messy compliance regime
    - unreasonable expectations on staff
    - poor decision making process and not transparent
    - inadequate training to people's leaders and lots of managers who are incapable of managing people

    Advice to Management

    - should put more focus on people management
    - some managers are not capable of managing people should be provided with more training or reconsider their positions in the company

I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Mobility opportunities are great, be patient and open minded with the opportunities that may be presented to you.
Most managers are genuine and care about their staff and the company.
Business is doing well, bank is in a strong position.

    Cons

Pay is stagnant for many years.
Opportunities within Australia become limited and to stay with the company, need to be willing to relocate offshore.
    Employment benefits lacking competitors.
Too bureaucratic due to size of the organisation.
A lot of offshoring and pressure on staff to perform at constant high levels.
Zero tolerance for even the smallest of human errors.

    Advice to Management

Understand that countries across the world have unique qualities/requirements/cultures that you need to be aware of and understand. One size fits all model from the US does not work when you try to force it upon countries outside of the US.
