Pros

Some great people, some good technology and a lot of potential

Cons

Atrocious management especially CRO and CFO. Bentley's motto is: make it as difficult as possible for Users and Employee's. Unfortunately I agree with most of the negative comments in previous reviews, even the one about HR instructing staff to make positive comments on Glassdoor to counter the negative ones. Bentley's latest restructure has been disastrous, with very few people competent enough to make it work and total disrespect for the workforce and the people who have helped build the company. Moral is the lowest it has ever been, compensation plans are unfair, where you can actually end up owing the company money. There is no work, life balance . There is no leadership, management is based on do it or else... Internal systems malfunction often. The culture has deteriorated into having to watch your back, with multiple silos and very few people willing to help out others. If it is not in their job description then why should they bother...

Pros

Great knowledge base and professionalism among the technical staff; many of who are exceptional individuals who really care about making a difference. Financial / project methodologies are rigorous and it was possible to gain exposure to many tier 1 clients and some awesome projects.

Cons

Initial impression was one of mixed messages from various levels of management, both line management and divisional, local and international (HQ), this developed to the extent that it seemed impossible to meet conflicting yet mandatory requirements, goals and priorities. "Bitching" was common among the ranks and even from senior management, so unsettling and unprofessional. The mixed messages unfolded to appear to be blatant lies, and I was asked to compromise my values more than once in my communications with clients. The final straw was the realization that senior management had blatant conflicts of interest.

The 2016 reorg has created silos in the business and unhelpful internal competition, this has not improved in 2017 Sales CRM is not fit for purpose - Run for finance not for sales
