      Great Place to Work

      Pros

Amazing place to work! I absolutely love this job. Expectation are reasonable, managers are friendly and approachable, and compensation is fair. Our team is small and friendly. Everyone genuinely enjoys coming into work.

      Cons

Company culture can be a bit old fashion. The shift to work from home was a bit rocky due to not being flexible for working from home prior to the pandemic. I’m seeing positive changes though and am optimistic going forward.

      Cons

Unrealistic workload tends to cause extreme stress. You never feel caught up on your work.

Great Place to Work - most Kind culture I've been in out of 3 major employers in town

28 Jan 2021 - Underwriter in Omaha, NE

      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Promotes from within, management encourage to do weekly meetings, very 'open door policy' for at least 2 levels up of management, intangible benefits like workout center and strong workplace culture reinforce by HR professionals on topics like maintaining and thriving in work-life balance.

      Cons

3-4 levels up it can be difficult to form a relationship with leadership if you're an aspiring career professional, decent job on handling someone with a midcareer transition (but could have been more generous in recognizing years of experience in industry).

      Okay for recent grads

      Pros

You are never bored, and are able to learn a lot regarding claims, including medical and legal knowledge. Slightly flexible start and end times. There are a few good members of management.

      Cons

Zero work life balance. Unreasonable case loads, with zero understanding from management. Unreasonable expectations. No true appreciation, even for top performers. When work from home started, there was zero understanding there would be a transition time or that some would have initial difficulties with children out of school or doing school from home. Once you get behind, there is no catching up. Absolutely everyone is extremely burnt out, and they expect that most will burn out and leave and are replaceable. Benefits are fairly expensive, though they have decent coverage. Pay is just okay - there are a few initial good pay bumps the first few years, but not quite so much after that.

A strong entry into a reputable company after graduating.

      Pros

Exceptional managers who are supportive, down to earth, acknowledge the efforts you put in to your work, and keep you motivated.

      Cons

There were occasionally some long nights at the office, and a few extra weekends of work, but I was pleased with the bonus and raise I received for my efforts.

      Good for recent grads

31 Jan 2021 - Claims Adjuster in Omaha, NE

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - this was my first job out of college. They were ready and willing to train you on claims/adjusting from the ground up. - Don't expect you to have any previous knowledge - if you meet standard goals you're guaranteed to get the raises

      Cons

      - there's no other departments to move into if you don't like claims, so if you don't want to be a claims adjuster there isn't any lateral moves to make - high volumes of calls per day, if you don't want to talk on the phone this might not be for you

      Pros

      Cons
