I have been working at Brinker (More than a year)

    Pros

Hours and tips, friendly atmosphere. Good music and a fast paced environments.

    Cons

The scores from ZIOSK surveys are all that's cared about. Getting a 4 actually hurts your score. Since you have zero control over kitchen, QA, food runner e ct. Seems extremely discriminatory as more than 50 percent of people who full out the surveys are because they are NOT happy. Those that are usually won't take the time. It sucks to have the bathroom be dirty and My survey is all 1. Management's explanations are well all servers have same struggles. Not a conducive way to help keep dedicated loyal hard working employees wanting to bust their butts for minimum wage. Hate the score system, who ever thought it up please go on undercover jobs and come see me. Please.

    Advice to Management

Our management is pretty good finally. I have nothing negative and only positive. My concerns are on a corporate level.

Competitive pay and benefits. Good work life balance where family is important.

    Cons

Declining business. Culture is eroding. Not much room to advance as business is in decline.

I have been working at Brinker full-time

    Pros

I enjoy some of the people I work with. A lot of them tend to be positive regardless of how bad their day is. I have worked with some amazing managers.

    Cons

Your experience at Chili's will depend on your managers and how they are. I happen to have a general manager who likes to talk down to everyone. Mutual respect goes a long way.
They are very slow in giving raises. They can't just own up and say no, but have to constantly give excuses.

I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Solid company good pay and benefits. Their training program is solid and there is plenty of development along the way. Great bonus potential.

    Cons

Bonuses are out of reach for most restaurant teams, sales plans are out of reach which makes profitability tough to achieve without sacrificing hospitality

    Advice to Management

Take local leaders advice about plan look at more than just be up 5% year over year. With growing competition the market share doesn't always allow for a 5% increase and write fair plans

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible hours. Great ideas on culture, and teamwork. You can find some amazing opportunities in this job through various roles.

    Cons

No accountability in company culture, training and in development. Although there are set standards, regulations and culture practices, there is no enforcement. With no accountability, no person will follow standards or culture.

I worked at Brinker part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great $$ if you are a good server....

    Cons

If you have a less-than-stellar GM, you won't get any support from corporate if the store is making $$. Basically, if GM is making the $$, they can treat you any way they want........

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees when they go as far as contacting corp.....we don't just run to you for the heck of it
