I have been working at CDK Global full-time

    Pros

The leadership of Brian McDonald since becoming CEO has been incredible. His focus on the Customer, Straight Talk, and Fixing Issues Quickly has completely revamped how CDK goes to market. Hiring Ron Frey from AutoNation as Strategy Officer has put CDK at the forefront of the automotive industry yet again. If you want to work for a company that sets the pace that the competition continually follows... work for CDK. If you want to be able to add value and feel respected for the hard work you do... work for CDK. If you want to be the industry leader in technology in automotive.. work for CDK.

    Cons

Since CDK is the leader in automotive marketing, we sometimes get a bad wrap. And sometimes from associates that were let go, and complete a Glass Door review. The bad thing is that people who were part of the problem, and not part of the solution, under-rate CDK. I have been here for 10 years, and I can honestly recommend my neighbors or relatives to come work for CDK if you want to be treated with respect, be rewarded for your hard work and commitment, and want to make a difference in this industry. Nobody else is doing what CDK is doing in automotive.

    Pros

Joining the company seemed promising at the beginning with lots of opportunities however that quickly changed once a new CEO was brought in.

    Cons

The company priority shifted to margins & making the board profitable. Everything else didn't matter anymore & the job/benefits got worse as time went on.

    Pros

Immediate coworkers and manager within our division. Truly a team.

    Cons

Executive level does not care about the employees or customers. Only care about increasing stock price. Processes and customer support are getting worse rather than better. They are laying off so much knowledge and experience that there is no one to train the entry level people they are hiring to save costs. We are supposedly trying to streamline, but it has become more and more difficult to take pride in the experience we are providing customers.

The relaxation of sick time was the only positive note that I could think of as my time at CDK came to a close.
