I worked at CDK Global full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Travel across the US -Daily Per Diem (Use it or lose it, and don't expect to use the full daily amount, or you will be harassed by management) -Corporate cards

    Cons

-The software is extremely buggy and far from perfect -Micromanagement -High turnover and constant layoffs -Internal backstabbing and politics -Toxic managers and work environment -Extremely long hours, expect to work upwards of 90 hours per week -Salaried and no overtime pay -Intensive re-orgs, and will be put under different managers/directors which hinders your yearly performance reviews since new managers will be clueless about your progress -Are expected to travel and leave home at 2:00AM on Monday mornings, be at a client's location no later than 12:00PM and work until midnight -On non travel days, you will be required to be onsite by 9:00AM and will be pulling 10-15 hours shifts due to technical issues -Will get harassed by upper management if you get onsite after 12:00PM, even though flights may be delayed or cancelled due to weather or technical issues -Are expected to work Friday's until 12:00PM, and travel back home after 4:00PM -Expect to arrive home on Friday's by midnight or Saturday mornings -Contractors who are assigned on your projects will compete and discredit your work to upper management in order to get a chance to become a direct hires -Job roles are being outsourced to Infosys -Managers will do surprise on-site visits or send out spies to check on you

    Pros

Co workers , free bagels on Monday, Expensive food truck on Tuesday.

    Cons

Lack of training on product. Then when you ask for training you are sometimes screamed at on the floor. Only takes once to leave an impression of upper management. Walking on eggshells everyday is not a happy environment. Ideas for improvement are shot down. You are left disgruntled. I have never worked for a company that works so hard to bring you down and impact your self confidence. Save yourself some time.

    "poor management"

I worked at CDK Global full-time

    Pros

The work was repetitive, but at times could be interesting. Some of the people are talented and deserve better.

    Cons

A lot of the negative reviews are generally accurate. The leadership was really poor. The micromanagement was ridiculous. Behavior from upper management was toxic.

    Pros

if you are okay with lying to gain a benefit this is the place to be - not really any

    Cons

Management are directly lying Management sharing confidential information such as a raise or personal information about your team members Upper management are aware off the issue but is being a part of it Upper management walks arround with direct team leaders and laughing when the TL calls an employee an idiot out in public inaccurate job description don't trust what they describe to be your job, as your job have nothing to do with the posting they make rules are bend depending on the person working here benefits are delivered mid month or end of month and not at the start of the month you are unable to get your payslip explained and never have the same base salary they are underpaying you they are expecting you to spend more time in the office than needed only option to get off the phone is to become a manager whom have to do regular support as well HR tells you that a complaint about your manager got nothing to do with them

I worked at CDK Global full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Many wonderful coworkers, or at least there used to be. Longtime workers have decent vacation time. They need it. In a chaotic, changing environment like this, there are sometimes opportunities to carve out a special path for yourself. Departments are trying to move forward into this century.

    Cons

Morale is really low. Dedicated people who used to pump massive energy into their work have mentally cried uncle and given up. Those that are not in a good position to leave have had to quit caring about the work they do, just to protect their sanity. For people who normally take pride in their work, this is a sad, difficult thing. Workload is over the top. Constant fear of being laid off. Critical brain drain with knowledgeable people laid off or having quit in desperation. They’ve cut way past the bone. Typing pool seating is a nightmare for introverts. The constant distractions, whether intended or not, are exhausting. Everything is just too much: too much “doing more with less,” too much stress, too much talk from ELT where they don’t walk the walk, too much pretending to be something they’re not—a company that cares about its employees, or a company with integrity. My beef is mainly with upper management. They sunk so low that they have a long way to go to earn back any trust. Hasn’t happened yet. For me, the jury’s still out on BK, but so far I’m disappointed that he hasn’t done more to clean up the mess at the top.

    Pros

    The place is air conditioned.

    Cons

Greedy upper management with a hack and slash mentality. They are shaving our salaries and benefits each year. Forced us out of our semi private cubes and into public noisy spaces that resemble pig pens.

I have been working at CDK Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get a lot of freedom to take breaks the way you want. And free Coca Cola. These are the only pro's.

    Cons

•Management can't look ahead further than 3 months •The product is the worse piece of software I have seen in my life. •The product will EOL soon anyway as the automotive industry is evolving but CDK is not. •None of the teams have ever been complete. Teams which are supposed to be 10 are 6 •Retention of staff is dramatic, everyone that actually starts to work here just wants to leave again. Almost everyone I know is actively looking for something better. The salary in itself, with benefits, isn't bad. But for the type of work you have to do here plus the utter lack of foresight by upper management its bizarrely low.
