Pros

- Lots of opportunity for over-time - Good first job out of college (~2 years) - Opportunity for growth if very driven and willing to work 50+ hours a week - Method Development staff is very knowledgeable and helpful if you show a will to work hard

Cons

- between 25 and 35% lower pay then similar labs - long, unusual hours often required on very short notice - mid-management is very uninformed and unorganized concerning workflow and projects - the 'desire to please the client' comes before consideration of employee's personal life - timelines for projects are often unrealistic due to a disconnect from the sales staff, lab management, and project directors

Pros

In general it's good money. The profit sharing bonuses are great.

Cons

It's a very intense, crack-the-whip, micro-managing environment. Employees are driven non-stop and loyalty is expected and rewarded, yet none is given. My experience there was an extremely low level of respect from management and little-to-no communication about changes and direction of the company. A manager actually told me she had no accountability to me, her employee. Not the best attitude for management.
