    Going downhill fast

    Pros

Employee owned. Get a bank of PTO hours instead of sick/vacation time separate. Does a lot of community service work.

    Cons

Cannot make a decision about anything. Takes forever to get anything done. Business has not been good and employees are feeling the pinch. Eliminating a lot of jobs and long-term employees and moving them overseas. Poor training of new employees. Long-term financial outlook is not good. Outside investor appears to be calling most of the shots now. Spending a lot of money on a rebranding that did not need to be done especially when the company had to bring in outside investors.

Not the great place it was when Ralph Peterson was there and who hired Lee Mc? What a joke!

    Pros

Flexible place overall depending on who your boss is. Teleworking allowed depending on who your boss is. Can be an awesome place to work...depending on who your boss is.

    Cons

Having an overpaid supervisor that doesn't know their job or yours even after 3 years of being employed with the company. Having a manager that allows the nonsense to go on for so long when the company has let so many qualified people go who were paid less money. It's frustrating when management doesn't listen to the staff when the staff are the ones doing the work and understand the job. Ralph Peterson cared about everyone; Lee Mc. is out for himself and allows the overpaying of people who really need to be demoted.

Very slow process. Thorough but pleasant.

    Pros

Had one phone interview followed by in person with 3 managers. After answering some typical questions (there do you see yourself in 5y., etc) had to solve some accounting problems (I was applying for a Staff Accountant position). Nothing complicated just how to book a payroll entry with some contributions. Interview was over within a hour.

    Cons

The start to finish of the process took almost entire month. About a week between the first contact via email and then the interviews, followed by very detailed background check.

    CH2M was a good company

    Pros

It was a good company and still is. It's just now owned by a really big company that puts numbers first.

    Cons

Jacobs now owns CH2M and is hacking away at jobs for profit. A lot of jobs are being transitioned to Poland and India. If you are a subcontractor wanting to get paid, you have a hard time getting an answer to when you will get paid. Subs need to read their contracts and know their contract terms. Don't settle for Paid when Paid terms.

Fairness of superiors, employment opportunities all over the country, Oracle training program, great camaraderie at satellite office location, flex scheduling.

    Cons

You can feel removed from the corporate office when you are working at one of the other locations. Other than that, nothing.

    Great engineers, financially mismanaged

    Jul 9, 2017 - Project Accountant

    Pros

There were many great coworkers that helped to create a fun culture. Also, there were many talented and respected professionals.

    Cons

Financially, they are in trouble. They have mismanaged large projects, business development and most recently, leadership. They have lost sight of there original values.
