    I have been working at Campbell Soup Company full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Great working environment, people and culture. Extremely loyal workforce (mid level managers) that have been with the business a minimum of 5 years. Work gets done and and categories that we compete in are growing very well. Good for people who want work-life balance

    Cons

    The senior directors (people in the business for more than 10 years) in the business are unwilling to change and many have been in their positions due to "seniority". They are not changing with the times fast enough to address the constant changing business environment.

    Advice to Management

    We need to look outside of Soups and diversify the business that includes other high growth categories. Stick to a winning strategy and by follow through on the commitments

    Great benefits, rewarding work, passionate employees and great products.

    Cons

    Frequent restructuring, no focus, employees no longer valued & last 3 years a constant threat of lay-offs.

    Advice to Management

    Find ways to show employees they are valued even in the face of tough decisions & unfavorable profits. Can’t expect employees to feel good about their work when there’s no promotions happening (outside of snack & the c-suite) even when well deserved & there always another looming lay-off.

    Constantly changing strategic direction (hopefully changing now that there is a new CEO in place); company has struggled with performance; bonuses not paid out in 2018

    Create strategic direction - choose a few battles to fight and stick with seeing those through vs. trying to tackle everything and accomplishing nothing

    Toxic work environment, lack of support from management, a lot of harmful leadership behaviour, lack of training and clique enforcement by supervisors.

    start with solid training for new employees, reevaluate your work culture, and develop good communication across all levels.
