    Pros

    The Leaders are supportive! The team is encourages and collaborates well to solve needs. I've never worked with a group like this. They have raised the bar in what a workplace should be. They care about their employees well being with classes for personal development and special support groups. The company is very involved in charity and local outreach. I really can't say enough how this is the place to work for.

    Cons

    No remote opportunities. Its just not in their culture.

    Keep it up!

    Pros

    Great networking, educational lunch and learns, beautiful campus, positive learning experience, overall I love Canon USA and it was an excellent beginning to my career

    Cons

    Difficult to move around internally without specific degrees towards department. (ex. couldn't get a job in marketing dept. without having marketing experience or a degree in marketing). Many companies let their employees learn internally, but I found it difficult to work where I wanted because HR would never consider me.

    Advice to Management

    Please do not micromanage your employees.

    - Many great co-workers
    - Iconic brand
    - Fast to reimburse expenses

    Cons

    - No flex time, even when having company laptop and cell phone
    - No increase in per diem since 2000
    - Many top talent leaving
    - New CEO, changes likely
    - No promotional opportunities when based in remote offices

    - Take action on the based on the employee engagement surveys

    Pros

    Canon USA as a company has the right intensions of providing a great work and life balance.
    The HQ is a wonderful place to work in; it provides employees with many benefits including fitness center and a full cafeteria on site. Fair number of days off, including holidays and the weekends are primarily yours.

    Cons

    Very conservative company needs to become more aggressive to get ahead of the game with competitors.
    Current VP is a MICROmanager, why have managers if you are a micro manager and everything needs to be filtered through one person. This is not the entire company as I have enjoyed working for other leaders. The leadership of Canon USA needs to phase out these people if they plan to continue to be successful.

    Advice to Management

    Canon USA brass, listen to your own employee survey and ACT.
    Great campus let the employees enjoy it, add more activities or allow more!
    In a large company, there is no room for micromanagement or favoritism by leaders.
    At a manager’s level, there should be decision making capabilities, that why they are managers.
