      Good benefits - salary, 401K, medical Flexible work schedules - allow work from home, flex hours to accommodate your life Growing company - increased focus on technology, striving to be a market leader in finance and tech with focus on moving everything to the cloud

      Cons

      Very little role clarity, constant re-orgs and forced ranking system contribute to a working environment that is constantly in flux and puts people on edge. Was hired for one role and, shortly after one month of my arrival, the role morphed into something that I was way overqualified for.       Advice to Management

      Take a long hard look at results rather than who is better at playing politics. Capital One is still a very young company compared to its competitors and if it doesn't get its internal house in order (processes, better middle management, less re-orgs), all the growth will catch up to it.

      great salary, awesome benefits, great company culture

      Cons

      They have been branding themselves a tech company but their internal systems are horrible Also tends to be a good old boys club when it comes to promotions. Employee evaluation process is horrific. Job Security, towards the end it felt like you always had to keep your running sneakers around your neck......

      Advice to Management

      Rate your employee's based on their individual performance not how they rank to others simIlar to them . Stop calling yourself a tech company till you have the tech to support that claim

      - Great engineering team. Engineering leadership is solid, has a good attitude, and SDE talent that punches above their weight - Capital One has good senior executive leadership and as a whole they genuinely try to be a good actor in society - Work life balance is great because most people lost hope on delivering meaningful work. Many people leave as early as 3pm or work from home with little or no notice

      Your onsite management is lying to you about how and what they are working on. The team is incredibly mismanaged, which is why they keep missing deadlines.       not enough accountability, TOO many hours (80 last week), last minute projects handed off after quitting time and wanted by the next morning
