I have been working at Cardno full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Can’t think of any pros.

    Cons

Low pay. No training. No career path. Too many managers / too top heavy. Cardno doesn’t care about its staff. Bad place to start career. High staff turnover and low staff morale in general.

    I worked at Cardno full-time

    Pros

Constant morning tea’s (no wonder there’s no profits)

    Cons

Absolute hellhole, never worked with more disingenuous people. They talk a big game about how much they value their people and fostering a good culture but its all BS. The only thing they value is money (which is weird because they can never make a profit?) Toxic culture all round, so much change and high staff turnover, everyone hates it. Working here has made me very hesitant about working at a big company ever again.

    Cons

Zero leadership Extremely high turnover No strategic direction Toxic culture - worst I’ve experienced Boys club Not at all performance driven There is little to no value on people HR team has no impact and watch what’s happening in and around them

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Cardno full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Some great co-workers who are willing to help one another due to all being in the same boat of zero leadership.

    Cons

    - No communication from senior managers - Very obvious senior upwards is a "boys club" who are severely out of touch - Happy to take advantage of staff during high work load and high utilisation however once times become tough, staff are immediately forced to take leave - Decent pay rises are like pulling teeth. When your job and utilisation is going well but the whole office is struggling, you will not receive a pay rise. When the whole office is going well but the region is struggling, you will not get a pay rise. Barely any incentive to well and above. - HR are unreliable and are not there for staff when they need someone to talk to - Zero training - No accountability and never any lessons learnt from projects that go bad because it's never Cardno's fault - A very backwards company

I have been working at Cardno full-time for more than a year

    Pros

nothing i can recall to be honest

    Cons

high staff turnover, some engineers as well managers are completely unaware of their job descriptions. some so called senior engineers embark on projects without having the proper technical skills required to finish the job. you are expected to work gazillions of unpaid hours and the pay rate is the minimum in the entire market, but at the same time all the talk is revolving around utilisation.
