Pros
Nice quite central office with good lunch choices
Cons
Bad management and unable to compete in the region. The MD is only concerned about himself and his profile. How he is still in this position is beyond me and the majority of the existing staff. His record in improving the business is non existent in fact it has been steadily going downhill since he has been there.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I would like to correct a couple of incorrect points in your post -- Australia was our fastest growing region by year/year revenue growth in 2018, and grew its customer base at a double-digit rate from year-end 2017 to year-end 2018. We are very proud of what our team has accomplished in Australia including Simon’s leadership. I am sorry to hear your individual experience has not been positive -- I suggest you speak with your manager or Simon and decide if it makes sense to try to make it work or if it would be better to find a company that’s a better fit for you. Either way I hope you find what you are looking for, and thank you again for the feedback. David (CEO)

Pros
Flexible working hours, great place to learn about e-commerce, friendly folks all over the place across offices. Solid benefits.
Cons
Culturally frustrating: change is hard. Discussions often initiated on email. More people looped in with every reply, and thread dies a quiet death: no followup. Especially visible in HQ. This is not about one person, it happens consistently. Poor initiative, no sense of ownership/cooperation to get things done. There is a feeling of "not my office, not my team, I don't need to try too hard to help". There are the usual challenges working across time zones. It is often hard to get help from one office to others, in terms of getting problems fixed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and thanks for the positive comments. As to some of your constructive feedback, I agree with some of it (especially the endless email part) -- driving more accountability into our teams as we grow is really important to me and a key area of focus as we build up our management team. I’m meeting with the worldwide management team on a regular basis now to make sure our values are clearly understood and practiced. Let me know if you ever want to discuss 1x1 -- I promise confidentiality. Thanks again! David (CEO)

Pros
health and insurance benefits make up for the very average pay
Cons
It is a solution that has success in the U.S and Europe but not here. Its way overpriced for what you get and the team in AU is bare bones. The team is a 5th of the size it once was which is an indication of the success it is having in this region. They employed a new MD to get the business back on track but it has deteriorated even more since he was put in the position. Ask how many customers they have in APAC, not many. They hire staff and then let them go as next to no contracts are being signed. Competitors such as Neto and Intelligent Reach are getting the customers as they are cheaper and can provide a locally produced product.

We’re disappointed to hear that you didn’t have a positive experience working with ChannelAdvisor, but thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback. In a global marketplace, the competition is fierce. While we recognize our work is challenging as e-commerce rapidly evolves, we’re relentless in our efforts to react and adapt accordingly. The new leadership in the AU office has made incredible strides in improving the culture, the customer experience, and the business. We’re confident that we’re moving in the right direction and remain optimistic about ChannelAdvisor’s future in AU.

Pros
Some of the best people in the industry have been through this firm. It once was a great place to start your career in eCommerce or SaaS Fabulous health care benefits
Cons
Post IPO, the culture has deteriorated, you can see that by reading the reviews on here and the HR responses to same. While i appreciate that there was a need to turn the business to profit, cutting the culture to shreds and 'adjusting' the staffing levels was a poor methodology, now the company has a low internal knowledge base and a massive rift between line managers, the executive team and the front line staff. While it is presented as a multi-national firm don't be misled! ALL significant decisions are made in NC and any dissent from elsewhere is ACTIVELY silenced. This is a regional US company that just happens to have off shore offices.

Pros
Platform is robust - easy for a strong sales professional to sell, once accustomed to market Recent investments & restructuring of Support & Launch teams has stabilised the company Free decaf tea & coffee Team attitude is present in the office as shown by regular team meetings and dishwashing rotations.
Cons
Soft leadership - lacks ability to push team, this has shown in sales & marketing results over the last 6-12 months Dark cloud hanging over the office, employees will often be silent for hours, arrive & depart as they please. Very unenthusiastic environment.

Pros
This is truly a company for people who want that international opportunity. You work hard, and you will be recognised for it. Great technologies. Good partnership with ecommerce cos. areound the world. This is not a company that will let you slide by on the bare minimum.... and then employees will end up writing negative comments about companies and management within the company, because they are frustrated. Previous negative comments on the reviews page should be taken with a grain of salt about the leadership and management of the office. Having seen the company grow from handful of employees to I think 30+ employees with two offices, in a short period of time - I can only say that the management team in country MUST be doing something right?
Cons
Low on salaary scale. Sometime the US office dictated the path for AU office too much. Needs autonomy.

Pros
People, a wide mix in many ways, some fantastic "brains" and experience Location Benefits The senior management rating below does not apply to the whole Australian management team, only one individual, most are doing the best they can (sales, launch, am, office)
Cons
Ineffective Australian MD Lack of Recognition from Australian MD Training needs to improve Lack of talk between departments that are managed from afar, the right hand often doesn't know what the left hand is doing, especially in relation to the Australian employees. Lack of communication from the US to Australia as a whole US not knowing enough about Australia and the Australian market, it is not a clone of the US, the UK or anywhere else US not recognising that Australian employees may know what they are talking about, lack of communication from US to Australia.
