I worked at Charles Schwab full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Decent salary and ok benefits.

    Cons

Very clickish and more of a mans world. Things change daily and training was not the best. Hard to keep up and give the right answers.

    Advice to Management

Offer better training and updates frequently. Make everyone feel welcome and hire more women.

I have been working at Charles Schwab full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A great starting job for someone fresh out of school. A great place to get licensed and start off in the financial services industry. Overall a solid culture and great benefits for the job you're working.

    Cons

Very little upward mobility in this role. Be prepared for long hours spent on a phone, and no amount of extra licensing or certification's will get you out of that role. The pay is below the requirements of the job. At times you're a glorified insurance policy for clients. The ways to advance in the company are very linear. Also manager bias can impact your overall experience.

    Advice to Management

The two year commitment, as well as a set progression really diminishes incentive in my opinion. Also The increased expectation of more time on the phone with no upside in pay is really discouraging.

I have been working at Charles Schwab full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They offer fair pay and decent benefits

    Cons

There is a continuous change of responsibilities

    Advice to Management

More to the Director level, allow managers more authority to manage their teams. If more responsibility is being added to roles, compensation should reflect new responsibilities.
