"Sleep with your Boss! Get Promoted!"

I worked at Charter Communications full-time

    Pros

Good pay and benefits, vacation time

    Cons

You have to sleep with the higher ups to get promoted. They encourage that you wear revealing clothing also, to get promoted. Basically get out your knee pads.

    Advice to Management

You should fire Management giving a "legs up" to females by sleeping with them to get promoted. I was there for 12 years, so I saw it happen over and over and over and over and over. Ask Alicia Corneal.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay was awesome. The benefits are among the best in the business. My first & my second supervisor were the best bosses I ever had. EVERY year I received a above average review. I was NEVER wrote up.

    Cons

After 15 years, I was transferred to a different department which lead me to my demize. I was set up to fail....My third supervisor had it out for me. Let go after almost 16 years of service and it didn’t phase him a bit that it destroyed my life getting fired at 56 years old.

    Advice to Management

Maybe management should at least review a employees record before kicking him to the cub like a dog. Getting fired really hurt my future. Took a while to recover from the shame I felt until I finally realized it was nothing that I did.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The salary is very good if you stick with the job for several years. The benefits are above par, as the insurance and flex spending accounts are comparable, but the free television, internet and phone service push it over the top.

    Cons

The management isn't very receptive to feedback. In a lot of departments, it's a "my way or the highway" management mentality. Also, the tech department is talked down to and worked like slaves with no acknowledgement or gratitude.

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to and hear your employees who are actually doing the job and combine that info with the numbers you can see on paper. With just one or the other, you're not getting anywhere and by not listening to your employees, you're actively running off some amazing talent that you have at your disposal.
