I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The opportunity to earn commission. Also the position I held allowed me to have all weekends and major holidays.

    Cons

It’s really hard to post out of the department. Management can sometimes be unrealistic about metrics. A lot of your peers will not be as ethical as you.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay was great working as a contractor.

    Cons

Dress code was very strict. Not allowed to work from home weather conditions are dangerous for driving.

    Advice to Management

Don't make your employees drive to work in bad weather conditions. Give them the option to work from home. Don't give your designers a pay cut when they go from being contracted to directly working for the company. Don't enforce the dress code more harshly on women than men or comment on the appearance of women's clothing. Don't leave your employees without work for most of the work week and then suddenly ask them to work overtime on a weekend. It's unprofessional to do this. Be understanding of the health struggles that women face and don't tell them they're taking too much time off of work after they have disclosed to you that it is for medical reasons. This is discriminatory.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are decent- co workers are nice.

    Cons

Terrible, lazy managers with tenure that are part of the "good ole boys club". They watch sports on their phones and ignore the employees. The only time that they talk to us is to tell us to stay out of after-call and go auto in to be yelled at by MANY angry employees. Many employees develop stress related issues, depression and worse from working in this negativity

    Advice to Management

Drain this swamp from terrible managers. Make them accountable. Take feedback from the real employees and use it instead of pretending to care, actually care. The job is tough enough without a good manager showing DAILY support.
