I worked at Chevron full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

money, work life balance (CWW), opportunities (if your face fits)

    Cons

systematic open bullying with no protection, I watched it happen to many people and then it happened to me... you have to self promote - HR don't manage internal opportunity assignment, it's who you know.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Chevron for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work life balance, diversity and working environment. Management seem to genuinely care about the people as well as the performance. This was one of the best companies I've worked for.

    Cons

Duplication and fragmentation of some functions, processes, systems and documentation between the projects and corporate which was inefficient. Mid management effectiveness varied depending on department. Sometimes overly bureaucratic.

I worked at Chevron for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great Decision Analysis training DA team (both locally and globally). Great diversity and safety culture. Nine days fortnights. Good Salary. Good location in Perth. Great on boarding programme. Good work life balance.

    Cons

Limited career progression for employees with fixed contracts, even those with very good yearly reviews. This is not clear when Human Resources gives you an offer. Human Resource discipline is process driven.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of professionals with fixed term contracts and try to make them permanent employees if they are performing well.
