I have been working at Cielo for less than a year

    Pros

Would make you feel welcomed in the first couple of days. Work from home

    Cons

Hi My Reader, Beware of this Company. It's a place where everything looks beautiful from outside but not inside. You meet a bunch of people who play politics to isolate you and push you aside to feel dejected. There can be instances where an SVP bullies you and your other Seniors just laugh loudly at it . You get ridiculed on calls, shouted at by a colleague for no reason. Your most important tool to function at job is taken away and then you are expected to bring great results. It's a place where your efforts don't matter rather some numbers regardless of the market you operate in. Remember, if you join, learn to wear a mask of lies and flattery because you cannot be yourself. They preach Diversity and Inclusion without practising it. Please don't tell them you have a long term health condition. They will make you feel worse. The HR never checks if you are doing well or you have a problem. People are unprofessional and practice favouritism. Work from home options, Compensation or any other benefit just don't matter if an employee is not treated respectfully.

Hi, this is Jennie Emerson, SVP People & Culture EMEA. Firstly, thank you for your candid feedback; I know it takes a lot of pent-up frustration to motivate feedback like this. I am very disappointed and concerned to hear of your experiences at Cielo. You describe an environment that is entirely unacceptable, albeit one that I personally don’t recognise. I would love the opportunity to talk to you in person, and in confidence if you prefer, to better understand what is going on in your workplace. I hope we can turn things around for you personally, but I am also determined to stamp out any behaviours that look like bullying and/or that breach our values and our culture of inclusion and diversity. You can reach me on my mobile 07770 881778 or by email at jennie.emerson@cielotalent.com. Please do give me a call; this kind of feedback needs my attention.

Hi, this is Tara Cassady, EVP of Client Services for the Americas. I’m glad to read you’ve enjoyed your experience at Cielo. I understand why the business may feel disorganized at times – our industry and our clients’ needs are ever-changing, and we do our best to stay ahead of that and to instill confidence in our people by being as transparent as possible through regular communication. Attracting and retaining talent is a top priority for us and we are currently reviewing our Total Rewards program, including compensation and benefits – we’ll have more to report on that soon. Thank you for your feedback. If ever you have more to share, contact me any time at tara.cassady@cielotalent.com.

    Pros

work from home; cutting edge technology

it's like an adult version of Mean Girls, very cliquey, favorites are OBVIOUS and there is not a level playing field. Sales team offers near impossible guarantees and SLAs that recruitment team can barely meet.

Hi, this is Tara Cassady EVP of Client Services for the Americas. I see that you’re already left the organization, and I hope that you took the opportunity before you left to talk about your experience with a leader or with a member of the People and Culture team. I have been working at Cielo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Remote work from home flexibility

    Cons

The 401K has a extremely poor match at 50% on a 3% contribution (in other words a 1.5% match on 6% and it vested in SIX YEARS!!!! Are you kidding me? Also the is NO, I repeat NO, Short Term Disability. If you get laid up, you are out of a paycheck for 6 months until a low payout LTD kicks in. This company is as cheap they come. To add insult to injury, the just started to offer a "sabbatical" after 10 years of service. Seriously? This is a way for the company to say they are offering progressive benefits when in fact it's a way for them to defer costs to some time in the distant future when I'll probably be dead. There are some talented people at this company but I have to wonder why they would settle for this. My only hope is that they are bought out by a larger company like IBM did with Kenexa and ADP did with The Right Thing. That seems to be the only chance to improve benefits because current management DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. Signed, ONE PISSED OFF EMPLOYEE

Hi, this is Molly Thiel, SVP of People and Culture for the Americas. As Cielo continues to grow, we recognize that our benefits need to evolve to remain competitive in the industry and stay ahead of our employees’ needs. This year, we’ve undergone an extensive review of our total rewards package. The 10-year sabbatical is the first of many enhancements you’ll see when open enrollment kicks off in the coming weeks. The changes we’re making arose because of input we’ve received through employee feedback mechanisms like one-on-one conversations, employee experience surveys, our leader coffee/lunch sessions and more – please take advantage of those opportunities or come see my any time on the 4th floor. You can also contact me at molly.thiel@cielotalent.com or 262-439-1389.

I worked at Cielo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Occasional work from home.

    Cons

I worked at Cielo for over 2 years, and can easily say it was the most toxic environment I’ve encountered in my career. Managers have a cut-throat mentality, and are quick to pass blame and throw coworkers under the bus to get ahead. It is impossible to grow your career with this company unless you are willing to play dirty and overwork yourself. With these toxic people as managers and senior leadership, the remaining employees are left feeling defeated and as if they are constantly walking on glass to get anything done. Despite having glowing reviews from all my other employers, I was constantly given harsh and incredibly rude feedback on all aspects of my work. This is unfortunately the norm if you work at Cielo, and I don’t foresee it changing anytime soon. I have never questioned myself as much as I did while I worked at Cielo, and I know that leaving was one of the best decisions of my life. It’s not healthy to work somewhere that you dread walking into every day, so save your mental health, time and energy and look elsewhere.

Ouch, wow. Sue Marks here. It’s not easy to read that anyone could work in what they perceive as a toxic environment for two years ... and that the toxic environment they were describing was our company. I’m really sorry your experience was negative, and it absolutely does not reflect our values, culture or what I expect of our leaders. While I do - and we do - expect a lot from ourselves and each other, it’s disappointing that you did not see our organization as one where you could accelerate your career and your opportunities for growth. I truly believe everyone deserves a career they love and I hope that you’ve found that in your new endeavors. Even though you’re no longer with Cielo, please consider connecting with me to share more about your experience and how we can improve. Contact me any time at sue.marks@cielotalent.com.

Hi, this is Dan Bates, SVP of Operations. We should talk because I’d love to hear what you mean about growth conversations becoming a hindrance. We empower all our leaders to have conversations with their teams about internal career paths. BUT we also empower our employees to “Own Your Success," which involves developing skills, seeking new roles internally and identifying their own longer-term career paths. Armed with that knowledge, we want our team members to work with their leader to build out Individual Development Plans to support those and the organization’s goals. I'm happy to follow up if you'd like to connect. Contact me any time at daniel.bates@cielotalent.com or 262-439-1294.

This is Jennie Emerson, SVP People & Culture for Europe. Thank you for sharing your feedback; we value hearing about the experiences of Cielo colleagues so that we can focus on the right areas for improvement. I’m sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t been optimal and I would love to hear more about this if you call my direct line 07770 881778. In the meantime, you might be interested to know that this year we are upgrading our Learning Management Platform to add more user functionality and role-aligned multi-media content to better support our people in developing the skills they need to develop their career with Cielo. Of course, nothing is more valuable than the developmental support you get from your leader and we continue to develop these skills in our leadership community. We are confident that our bonus scheme is market-beating and, at the time of writing, we have confirmed payment of 100% of the company-performance component for full-year 2018.
