I have been working at Citi as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to get development experience and learn finance. See how the industry works.

    Cons

Can be large, heavy on compliance, and not great for learning finance from scratch. Expect to have a background in finance if you really want to understand whats going on.

    Advice to Management

improve logistics, speed up the work flow.

    - inexplicably long hours

I worked at Citi as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - I was able to work on something I was interested in and was given a lot of flexibility.
    - Pretty sociable bunch of people so went for drinks or something regularly.

    Cons

    - Maybe a problem of tech but there were no girl interns and very few girls in tech. (Citi set up an initiative to get more girls to apply because of this)
    - Interns all did very different things and had very different experiences. But that's also a pro depending on your point of view.

    Advice to Management

Make it clearer that there is flexibility and that one can talk to other employees to work on different projects. The structure appears to be concrete so not everyone will venture out to find the opportunities available which would be a real shame.
