I have been working at City of Edmonton full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pays decent, EDO program, some nice people

    Cons

Every single person in a management position is friends with another manager. Managers do not actually meet the requirements for the job posting. Those in management positions do not actually motivate or encourage staff. All hiring is entirely subjective. Staff are very jaded and negative. Very little room for thinking outside of the box or changing anything. Stagnant. Feedback from staff is never included or incorporated into anything. There is no proper planning for any projects.
