I worked at City of Edmonton full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Predictability relating to daily work. Good benefits. Opportunity for lateral moves. Union positions provide more job structure.

    Cons

I worked at City of Edmonton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The City of Edmonton has good benefits, good people to work with, many options for further development within the organization, a clear vision, shared among employees..

    Cons

The City of Edmonton is a large organization, with a fair amount of politics. Construction areas are mostly run by (white) males, and this has an effect on the people that they hire and keep.
