I worked at Coles for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible hours, decent casual rate, more hours available if you wanted to do more.

    Cons

Often understaffed, meaning the department manager is under pressure and not in a good mood and the staff are pushed to work harder to make up for lack of staff. Results in a bad culture.

I worked at Coles part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Was good as a first job when you're under 18, great casual hourly wage.

    Cons

Middle managers were like dictators, controlling and belittling of staff, I couldn't take it anymore and had to quit.

I worked at Coles for more than a year

    Pros

    Casual wage is really competitive.

    Cons

Totally disorganised. Rostering system was a joke it was on paper and you had to come in to the store to check when you were working and then they would change it without you knowing. All the part time staff would take spare shifts that were designated for casual staff.
