    Pros

    - Meet some nice people working there - Pay is good especially on Sundays and evenings - Simple work - 5% team member discount

    Cons

    - Some rude customers - Department managers are often incompetent and don't understand business levels - Waste - Usually understaffed eg. 5pm (busy) to 9pm closing the Deli alone.

    Pros

    - Team manager was organised, understanding and pleasant (won’t be true for every store) - Adequate training provided - Discount card - Decent pay for a uni student - Flexible hours - Online roster

    Cons

    - Store and regional managers will sometimes overstep into things they don’t understand. They will implement changes without discussing with team members first to get opinions. Feedback from team members on ways to improve the department isn’t taken seriously.

    I have been working at Coles for less than a year

    Pros

    The store I work for has a great team of friendly people that help each other out. Everyone works hard, and when the occasion presents itself, fun conversation fills in the space making it an overall enjoyable and pleasant working environment. My line manager is very nice--always try hard to accommodate everyone's schedule outside Coles when planning the roster for each week. Get paid on weekly basis is also an added bonus, along with high Sunday and late night pay rates.

    Cons

    The roster can come too late during the week, making it hard to plan for next week.
