I have been working at Coles part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Vans have bluetooth, great for listening to your own music or podcasts - VERY flexible hours - You feel very autonomous, no management watching over you throughout the shift.

    Cons

    - Hours change all the time part time or casual - Can sometimes feel a bit left out, like your more a contractor rather than team member, however this doesn't bother me very much. - Breaks can be incredibly hard to take properly - Schedule is strict, so be prepared to hear your going too slow even when starting out.

  6. "All depends on store management"

    4.0
Current Employee - Night Stocker in Perth, Western Australia

I have been working at Coles part-time

    Pros

    Good pay. Friendly environment. Flexibility.

    Cons

If your store management isn’t great, you’re probably going to have a bad time.

  7. "Great place to start"

    5.0
Current Employee - Customer Service Team Member in Perth, Western Australia

I have been working at Coles part-time

    Pros

Coles is a great place for many young individuals to work at. They are very mindful of everyone's personal schedule and provide necessary training when needed.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be exhausting when a department is understaffed, especially during the weekend, as it means we have more to do.

I have been working at Coles part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good pay and opportunity to meet and work with some amazing people (of course this varies from store to store).

    Cons

Keep cutting hours and staff members, but continuously increases workload and expects you to get it done within the same time period. Can be extremely stressful, and often had to work overtime without pay. Often received a stern telling off from the manager when clocking off late (even when they don't pay you).
