I worked at Coles part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, good pay rate, good for students,

    Cons

depends on manager, always over worked, there idea of saying thank you for working so hard is giving someone in the store a box of chocolates every month rather than saying thank you to somebody when they come in early or stay late or bust there rump to finish something in an unrealistic time frame.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to come up with new ways to give out boxes of chocolates to boost moral and actually appreciate the work and effort people put into their work. push for more and to always be improving staff by complementing the work they have done first instead of always saying something wasn't done right or more still needs to done.

I worked at Coles part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - You are given freedom to work on your own in the aisles stocking at your own pace, as long as it is not too slow.
    - The grocery team is quite relaxed in their attitudes, it is simply expected that the daily load is completed and sometimes a face-up of the store, quite chill
    - Nice benefits

    Cons

    - If someone doesn't show up it is a bigger burden and you can get scolded by managers of the store
    - Often you will get called in to work
