I have been working at Coles full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Competitive salaries, flexible working hours, fun teams and friendly culture.

    Cons

Very political, promotion/recognition is all about managing perceptions and playing the game. Poor systems and processes and terrible decision making in terms of resource allocation.

I worked at Coles for more than a year

    Pros

Tooronga office is a great, well serviced location. Free parking, plenty of cafes close by. Coles Head Office has a great cafeteria with excellent quality lunches at a good price. Awesome Xmas party each year. The salaries are quite decent.

    Cons

Must be the worst company in the country to work for. The culture is influenced by management who are almost entirely imported ex-Tesco Brits. Here whats they promote: 1. Working people to the bone 2. Hierarchical culture where people cannot speak up 3. There is a 'Old boys club' culture, where people are excluded.

The business provides great career development and diversity across its large organisation and encourages new ideas and progressive thinking. Working collaboratively is encouraged to achieve key KPIs.

    Cons

Management culture is changing slowly for the better however there is still room for improvement for parts of management to create a better working environment and acknowledging people within their teams.
