I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great opportunities especially if you are in the eastern states, definitely are working hard to provide a good work life balance and not such a stressful work environment (like in the past)

    Cons

Not as many opportunities in the west and the pay could do with a solid review and increase.

I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia

    Pros

There are a lot of career opportunities and I believe my pay is competitive. The staff banking benefits are great including fee free bank accounts, free credit cards and discounts and special lending offers on staff home loans.

    Cons

Very sales based, even though they insist otherwise, it flows through everything you do and puts a lot of pressure on you to succeed, even at the cost of customer satisfaction. Outbound sales calls disguised as "service calls". Constantly being asked, "what did you get out of it" after a customer interaction. Every interaction is expected to provide a home loan, credit card or financial planning referral and if you don't, it's like "well why not, you must need more training".
