I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Excellent culture
    - Great internal training
    - Gender diversity
    - Amazing technology and innovation
    - Focus on process improvement/red tape reduction for staff

    Cons

Appear to pay less than the other banks across the board with base salaries.

    Advice to Management

Be competitive with salaries to retain the talent you've invested in - we don't want staff turnover because people are jumping ship for pay increases!

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Huge company with virtually unlimited options for progression. Good training. Nice people. Stable and secure employer. Good benefits such as cheap health insurance. Highly structured.

    Cons

Very slow to do anything. Changes take years in some cases. Too rigid. Too risk focussed instead of providing the best services. Management too focussed on profits.

    Advice to Management

Pay staff better, especially branch staff. Get more agile. Make decisions without consulting every person under the sun.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time

    Pros

Good culture, friendly people, big organisation

    Cons

They were cutting back alot of expenses. Were very selective in who they gave remote access to for flexibility, whereas BT gave it to me straight away no questions asked. Also making massive cuts to their Wealth Division and not replacing others

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your employees
